Tooth decay is the leading cause of child hospital admissions, with over 40,000 operations to remove teeth in children and teenagers last year. To discuss the extent of the problem Jenni is joined by Claire Stevens, NHS consultant paediatric dentist. She says, ‘Yesterday, I saw a three-year-old who needed all twenty baby teeth taken out’.
