Skelton jokes Kim Murray ‘didn’t vote enough’ for him at SPOTY

Show jumper Nick Skelton has joked Andy Murray’s wife Kim ‘didn’t vote enough times’ after the Sports Personality winner revealed she had voted for Skelton.

The 58-year-old finished third behind Murray and Olympic triathlon champion Alistair Brownlee.

“I’m very pleased with, although she didn’t vote enough times I don’t think,” Skelton said.

As for Murray, he says his wife’s joke may impact on Christmas.

“I’m hoping she was joking,” he said.

“I’ll speak to her when I’m off air and find out.

“I’m doing my Christmas shopping tonight so if she gives me the wrong answer she’s not getting anything,” he added.
