Victoria Wood was talent-spotted by a BBC producer while studying drama at Birmingham University. She was working part-time as a barmaid in a pub - playing comic songs on the piano - when she was invited to audition at Pebble Mill.
Victoria also talks about leaving local TV to appear on the show New Faces.
The interviewer is Ed Doolan on BBC WM in 1984.
