A fire at a market near Mexico City has caused a spectacular firework explosion killing dozens
An explosion has ripped through the San Pablito fireworks market north of Mexico City. The detonation caused dozens of deaths and was spectacularly caught on camera. Many more people are being treated in hospital for burns.
The so-called Islamic State have claimed responsibility for the attack on a Christmas market that left twelve people dead and many more injured. No evidence of the connection has been presented, but the announcement places additional pressure on Chancellor Angela Merkel.
