Fireworks Market Blast Kills Dozens in Mexico

Just outside Mexico City a fire has caused a spectacular blast at a fireworks market with dozens feared killed.

An explosion has ripped through the San Pablito fireworks market north of Mexico City. The detonation caused dozens of deaths and was spectacularly caught on camera. Many more people are being treated in hospital for burns.

A manhunt has been launched in Germany to catch the person responsible for Monday night’s attack on a Christmas market. Twelve people were killed when a truck was driven into crowds of people in Berlin. Police earlier released a Pakistani asylum seeker who was detained at the time of the attack.

President Obama has banned offshore oil drilling in the Arctic, in one of his final environmental acts before leaving the White House.
