Controversial Turkish Child Sex Legislation Vote

Turkish child sex law; Trump to ditch TPP deal; Madagascar drought

United Nations agencies have called on the Turkish government not to approve a draft law that they say would damage the country's ability to combat sexual abuse and child marriage. The proposed bill is due to face a final vote on Tuesday. It would allow the release from jail of men found guilty of sexual assault against an underage girl if no force were used and the perpetrator married the victim.

The US president-elect Donald Trump has said that on his first day in office he will issue an executive action to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal.

The south of Madagascar is suffering from its third year of drought in a row. The lack of rain has lead to ruined crops, and left 850 000 people struggling to feed themselves. The BBC's Raissa Ioussouf reports from Fort Dauphin.
