Trump plans to withdraw from TPP deal; Ukraine protests; IS weapons
The US president-elect Donald Trump has said that on his first day in office he will issue an executive action to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal.
The deal was signed in February after seven years of negotiations and was a cornerstone of President Obama's trade policy.
Ukraine has marked the Day of Dignity and Freedom, a holiday commemorating the 2013 beginning of the Euromaidan protests that ousted former President Viktor Yanukovych. We hear from the BBC's Anastasiya Grybanova who spent the day on Maidan Square.
As the battle for Mosul in Iraq continues, so-called Islamic State seems to have no shortage of weapons with which to fight. The BBC can now reveal that much of this came from European factories and was bought by the US and Saudi Arabia for other groups fighting in Syria but was then diverted into the hands of IS. The BBC's security correspondent Gordon Corera reports from Iraq.
