New Government Offensive against rebel-held Eastern Aleppo

Syrian army announces new Aleppo offensive; Eritrean protest; The Voyager record revival

The Syrian army has announced a new offensive to retake rebel-controlled areas in Aleppo -- where a quarter of a million people are living under siege. It urged civilians to avoid positions held by opposition fighters. The army said exit points would be open to allow people to flee.

A protest is taking place in Kings Cross station in Central London today where Eritreans will put tape over their mouths and hold up signs of family members who have been imprisoned without trial for many years in Eritrea.

And why a tech journalist has launched a campaign to fund the re-release of the iconic Voyager record.
