Voices on the BBC World Service
The Why Factor’s Mike Williams is helping get to the bottom of what voices make you tick. And, a listener in Barbados is concerned Zika coverage is being sensationalised.
Rajan Datar picks through your tweets and emails about the voices you hear on the BBC World Service. It seems your preferences for how a presenter speaks vary wildly depending on where you’re from, your back ground and age. Mike Williams, presenter of The Why factor, has been investigating this topic for his last two programmes and helps Rajan understand why the same voice can be liked and disliked in equal measures.
Also, listener Vanita Comissiong from Barbados has been in touch to voice her concerns about how the BBC World Service is covering the Zika virus.
