Star Wars set designer: Kenny Baker ‘proud’ to be R2-D2
Kenny Baker was “proud” of being the “most iconic film character that exists” says Roger Christian, the set designer for Star Wars: A New Hope.
Speaking to 5 live’s Dotun Adebayo, Roger described the moment Kenny started moving in the first prototype of R2-D2 as “like striking destiny.”
British actor Kenny Baker, who starred as R2-D2 in six Star Wars films, has died aged 81 after a long illness.
