Gardening by the sea is always a challenge. Unless you can provide a shelter belt, most plants cannot tolerate the constant onslaught of salt-laden winds. With the right plants, however, it is possible to create a beautiful border as Carol discovered as she took a stroll along West Parade in Bexhill-on-Sea.
