Colombia and Farc Rebels Agree to Ceasefire

Colombia and Farc rebels in historic agreement; Ghana power supply troubles; Venus' electric wind

The Colombian government and the FARC rebels say they have reached a definitive bilateral ceasefire in Latin America's longest running armed conflict. The agreement has overcome one of the biggest hurdles in peace talks - the disarmament of the rebels.

In Ghana, power supply may get even worse after the West African Gas Pipeline Company - WAPCO - suspended the flow of gas from Nigeria to Ghana. This is because the authorities in Ghana haven't paid the bill for gas pumped across from Nigeria.

New research finds that Venus, which once was able to have oceans, also has an "electric wind" strong enough to remove the components of water from its upper atmosphere.
