Glastonbury

The lineup has been announced for the BBC Introducing stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival and it features a Leominster musician.
AKA George first sent his music into BBC Hereford & Worcester five years ago and since then has had regular airplay on the station, as well as national opportunities with Radio 1 and Radio 2.
George writes and produces all of his own material, playing most of the instruments himself - and his videos on YouTube are of epic proportion.
"Since discovering George, from an early age, he's never failed to be at the cutting edge of the latest sounds and the latest technology.
"This genre-defying artist can simply be described as a true craftsman of his work.
"His music videos are equally epic; his cover of Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' was released BEFORE the official single, resulting in George getting 6 million views in a week.
"You know you're onto a winner when there are Japanese schoolgirls doing YouTube covers of you doing a cover!
"A true gentleman and a remarkable performer" - Andrew Marston.

Mott The Hoople convention

A 12 hour celebration of the 1970's rock band Mott The Hoople is taking place today, with performances by members of the group and conversations with the original road crew.
The convention will culminate in a performance by tribute band Wott The Hoople and will showcase various local musicians.
Set in The Richmond Club, the event is in aid of the Alzheimer's Society in memory of Dale Griffin (Buffin) - the original drummer who died earlier this year.

Radio 1's Big Weekend: Ellie Goulding

What an incredible career it's been for Ellie Goulding - and to think it all began here in Kington!
Back then she was performing at the open mic nights at Doodies on St Owen's Street in Hereford, which is no longer there, and having some of those early CDs played on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
Fast forward a decade - and she's now a household name across the globe, with many of her lesser heard singles in Britain flying high in the US Billboard charts.
The BBC have just welcomed her back on stage, putting her on at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Exeter.

BBC Introducing at the Nozstock Festival

BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.
Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 24 July where we'll be rolling up to the Nozstock Festival to record several acts who we've been playing on BBC Hereford & Worcester recently.
We'll bring the bands - all we need now is the fans!
None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.
So if you'd like to Be Part Of It, then simply turn up from 12pm.
