Homeless man 'never expected' to end up on the streets
The borough council in Kettering say there has been a 90% increase in the last 12 months in the number of people who have applied to be declared homeless.
However, it is not just a problem confined to Kettering.
BBC Look East's Stuart Ratcliffe met Tom at the Hope Centre in Northampton, which takes in homeless people, and discovered how ended up on the streets.
