Outgoing PCC says job a 'privilege'
Nick Alston, the outgoing police and crime commissioner for Essex, has described his time in the role as a "privilege".
He will be replaced by fellow Conservative Roger Hirst, who was elected last week.
Mr Alston appeared on the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme.
