Car gets stuck on guided busway

A car has been winched off the guided busway after getting stuck between the concrete tracks.

The silver Mercedes got into trouble after taking a wrong turn at Histon at about 09:00 on Wednesday.

The driver made it a few hundred metres up the track before falling into a gap.

Shaun Harrison-Fuller from Cambridgeshire County Council said a few cars had got stuck on the guided busway since it opened, but remarked "it is one of the longest runs anyone had managed to do".
