China "Deploys Missiles on Disputed Island"

According to the Taiwanese government, China has deployed surface to air missiles on one of the disputed islands in the South China Sea.

The United Nations says it has asked the Democratic Republic of Congo to investigate new allegations that its peacekeepers sexually abused four children living in a camp for displaced civilians in the Central African Republic.

The European Space Agency's Sentinel-3A satellite has successfully blasted off from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia. It's part of the Copernicus programme, backed by the European Commission, which aims to keep tabs on the health of our planet.
