Ukraine Avoids Political Crisis

Ukraine uncertainty; Yellow fever; Bujumbura taxi ban

The Government in Ukraine has survived a vote of no confidence by Parliament. However, President Petro Poroshenko has called on Prime Minister Yatsenyuk to resign amid an increasingly uncertain political climate in Kiev.

A yellow fever outbreak has killed 51 people in Angola. According to official statistics, this is the first epidemic to hit the country in 30 years. Newsday speaks to Olimpia de la Rosa, who is overseeing relief efforts by Medecins San Frontieres.

Motorbike taxis, one of the most popular transport means in Bujumbura, have been banned from the city centre by authorities in Burundi. Newsday asks whether motorbikes pose a threat in city where you are.
