The US and Cuba have signed an agreement to resume commercial air traffic between the two countries for the first time in more than 50 years.
Farhan Haq, Spokesperson for Un Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, speaks to Newsday about the latest abuse allegations against UN peacekeepers in the Central African Republic.
The UN is due to deliver aid to besieged towns in Syria, where it's estimated that tens of thousands of people are facing severe food shortages.
