Fifa President Nominations Deadline, Afghan-Pakistan Earthquake, African Economic Future

The deadline for candidates to announce their intention to stand for Fifa President passed at 11pm GMT on Monday night. One of those who has thrown his name into the ring is Liberian football chief Musa Bility. The BBC's Jonathan Paye Layleh has been speaking to him about his candidacy.

Hundreds have been killed in an earthquake that has struck north-eastern Afghanistan and Pakistan, which was also felt in India and Tajikistan. Newsday speaks to Rashid Javed, country director for the charity Plan International

The African Development Bank is bullish about realising the continent's potential and last week unveiled an ambitious plan to modernise agriculture.
