Earthquake hits Pakistan-Afghan border regions, Fifa nominations, Stateless people.
An earthquake of 7.5 magnitude hit north-eastern Afghanistan in the mountainous Hindu Kush region near Pakistan, killing hundreds.
The deadline for candidates to announce their intention to stand for Fifa President passed at 11pm GMT on Monday night. There are now eight candidates who have put their names forward for the election, which will take place in February. We speak to football journalist Mark Gleeson.
The United Nations estimates that there are 59.5 million displaced people around the world because of humanitarian disasters and ongoing crises. Photojournalist Greg Constantine visited 12 countries to document the lives of the 'stateless' and now it has all been put together in a book called Nowhere People.
