Kurdish-US action against IS, Afghan-Pakistan Earthquake, Australia Fugitives Captured

There was recently a joint Kurdish-US raid on an IS prison in northern Iraq. As talks are scheduled for later this week in Vienna to discuss the ongoing conflict, Newsday talks to Sharif Behruz of US based Iran Roundtable about the raid and whether it's a public declaration of increased co-operation against IS that is already happening.

Following an earthquake on Monday in the Afghan-Pakistan border regions, the BBC's Shahzeb Jillani has visited the Swat valley of northern Pakistan where many of the injured have been arriving for treatment.

Two of Australia's most wanted men - father and son Gino and Mark Stocco have been captured by police in the state of New South Wales after eight years on the run. The pair were wanted for a string of violent crimes. We speak to Taylor Auerbach, a reporter for the Daily Telegraph in Sydney.
