Iran has been invited to take part in talks with the US and others to discuss the ongoing conflict in Syria. For analysis we talk to Jay Solomon of the Wall Street Journal.
Rescue efforts are being stepped up to help those affected by the 7.5 magnitude earthquake which hit remote areas in the north of Afghanistan and Pakistan on Monday. With hundreds of deaths and thousands more injured, Newsday speaks to Kamran Bangash, a social worker and town councillor in Peshawar, to find out the latest.
A parasitic-worm killing drug, whose discovery won the Nobel prize, may also help in the fight against Malaria. We speak to the lead researcher, Dr. Brian Foy, of Colorado State University.
