'I had six months left' - organ transplant recipient
Liver recipient Daniel Adeyemo described the ordeal of waiting for an organ transplant.
"I waited 365 days…I had 6 months left."
The number of people waiting for organ transplants has risen, according to a report by NHS Blood and Transplant.
There were 220 patients waiting for a transplant at the end of March 2015, a slight rise from the previous year.
Consent rate has lingered below 60%, said Sally Johnson, director for Organ Donation and Transplantation.
Having a conversation about organ donation is key, as it results in 90% of people signing up, she added.
