Tour de France: ‘Glorious’ summit stage win for Froome
Chris Froome had “a glorious ride” to victory in stage 10 of the Tour de France, increasing his overall lead to nearly three minutes.
Despite the baking heat and a number of onlookers getting in the way, the team Sky rider and yellow jersey holder won the stage by almost a minute.
He is now 2'52 ahead of Tejay Van Garderen and 3'09 of one of the pre-tour favourites Nairo Quintana.
