Chase The Deer are a group of five friends who met at Pershore Sixth Form College in May 2014, who began as a covers band.

Originally, they were performing tracks by bands such as Bombay Bicycle Club, Young The Giant and Two Door Cinema Club, but quickly kicked out those familiar songs to play their own material!

The group has been working with MAS Records in Kidderminster and record their songs at Tower Studios in Pershore.

Oh, and they're named after a quesadilla!

The Hay Festival

The Hay Festival

Hereford's country music star Sasha McVeigh has been at the Hay Festival, performing sell out shows and making two appearances on national radio.

Sasha, who we discovered through BBC Introducing, performed some live acoustic tracks across all 40 local radio stations courtesy of the Mark Forrest show and appeared on Radio 3's The Verb, chatting with Ian McMillan and Stephen Fry.

The BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester stage at the Wychwood Festival

For the fifth year running, BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester returned to the Cheltenham Racecourse to take over one of the stages at the annual Wychwood Festival.

Since 2010, various BBC Introducing shows that surround Gloucestershire have all been invited to choose the acts - and this year nine of our favourites graced the stages on the closing day of the event.

Throughout June, we'll be bringing you the highlights on BBC Hereford & Worcester with the extended sets being hosted on our website.

This festival was new in 2014 and combines music with a VW camper show and features a WW2 camp to look around on the Sunday.

The music takes place on one outdoor stage over three days and includes camping.

It's mainly local music, with a mix of original artists and covers.

BBC Hereford & Worcester at MappFest

BBC Hereford & Worcester at MappFest

For the time ever, we're heading to MappFest in Malvern to take over one of the stages - and, as always, we're hell-bent on showcasing local talent!

On Sunday 21 June, we'll be showcasing five acts for broadcast throughout July - culminating in a fly-over from the Red Arrows.

Last year's event raised more than £3,000 for Acorns Childrens Hospice and this year the admission fee will be split between Acorns and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
