As part of an investigation into Low Pay the BBC was allowed to film part of the process of setting the Living Wage. That’s a level of pay its advocates say will guarantee a minimum acceptable standard of living. Researchers set up focus groups where members of the public discuss what a fictional couple would need to have that standard of living.
