The diverse individuals - united only by their singlemindedness - are Mike Oehler, who spent 28 years living in a hole in Idaho but craves success as a folk singer, preacher Randy James, who is planning to save New York from the devil, JJ Michaels, set to feature in a porn shoot, and the Reverend Robert Short, bearing an important message from a distant galaxy.
