Simon Hughes: Paul Downton "out of his depth".

Journalist and ex-cricketer Simon Hughes has labelled outgoing ECB managing director Paul Downton "out of his depth".

Hughes added the game had moved on since Downton last had involvement, but added "it was an impossible job, as he had to deal with so many formats of the game."
