  Claire Bailey is on your radio on Sundays between 12-1pm with Wild about Wiltshire, BBC Wiltshire’s countryside programme. It’s all about getting out and enjoying the great Wiltshire outdoors, whether that’s in our parks, reserves, farms or by the river. Claire meets the people who work outdoors and brings back stories of why they love what they do. As she’s discovered, countryside jobs aren’t for people who aren’t passionate about everything our natural world has to offer. She’ll often bring you a good tip for a day out in the county having been and checked it out first for you too! 

  Claire started working in radio about 18 years ago when she was studying journalism at the University of Sheffield. After that she worked at various stations across the country before moving to Wiltshire 12 years ago when her husband was posted here in the RAF. But starting out at BBC Wiltshire wasn’t an easy ride. The boss told her she gave a rubbish interview before offering her a trial three month contract. She’s been here ever since!
