Sir Antony Sher: I discover characters by drawing them
The actor Sir Antony Sher has been playing Falstaff with the Royal Shakespeare company in the play Henry IV, Parts I and II.
The process of preparing for the role was so absorbing that he kept a diary, which is about to be published, called Year of the Fat Knight.
I do portaits,” actor Sir Antony Sher told the BBC’s Andrew Marr. “I often find that I’m discovering how a character feels by drawing them.”
