ECB selector: Kevin Pietersen 'not part of our plans'

England national selector James Whitaker has told 5 live Sport's Pat Murphy that Kevin Pietersen is "not part" of his plans for future squads.

Just a few hours earlier, Pietersen had told BBC Test Match Special that he would "do anything" to return to the international set-up. He said he had been feeling encouraged by comments from incoming England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) chairman Colin Graves, who had said that Pietersen should be considered if his performances at country level are good enough.
