As one of America's leading brain scientists, Dr Allan Ropper tells his students to act more like detectives than doctors.
He prefers not to rely on scans and tests, and says neurologists should look for clues instead by observing their patients' behaviour.
His new book, 'Reaching Down the Rabbit Hole' is the result of a lifetime's work, and he popped in to tell us about it.
