In session from Wychwood

The Stiff Joints were formed in 2009 by a close group of friends who grew up in Kidderminster.
"With little to do but misbehave we all turned to music.
"A common love of punk brought us together, which eventually developed into a love of ska and reggae as we were turned onto bands from the mighty '2-tone' era of the late 70s and 80s such as The Specials."

6 - 8 June: Dubs In The Middle, Evesham

New for 2014 - this festival combines music with a VW camper show and a celebration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, raising money for Help For Heroes.
The music takes place on one outdoor stage over three days and includes camping. It will be mainly local music, with a mix of original artists and covers.

Mystery Festival

Music festival fans are going Full Circle tonight - but only if they've been able to find the mystery venue.
It is being held 'somewhere near Presteigne' and is certainly a different approach to putting on an event.

The Wychwood Festival

This year the Wychwood Festival on Cheltenham Racecourse celebrated its 10th anniversary - and once again BBC Hereford & Worcester was there!
We took over the BBC tent, on the Friday, and showcased some of our favourite acts in the area right now - including Sasha McVeigh, Virgil & The Accelerators, Olly Gardiner, The Misers, Jasper In The Company Of Others, Boy & Bicycle, Steve Attridge & The Sleeping Giants, Dave Onions and The Stiff Joints.
A variety of these sessions will be broadcast throughout June and the early part of July here on the Introducing show.

World War One At Home

She was born in the Worcester slums but went on to be loved across the world and played a major role in the recruitment of soldiers during the First World War.
As part of our World War One At Home series we've been discovering the story of Vesta Tilley who took to the stage aged just four, married an MP and lived her last years in luxury in Monte Carlo.
During the conflict she appeared on stage dressed as a soldier and encouraged men across Britain to sign up for the army.

More live music

One of the many artists who joined us on our BBC Hereford & Worcester stage at the Wychwood Festival was the Kidderminster man Dave Onions.
Dave's been in session with us before at BBC Hereford & Worcester and runs his own open mic night at the Cock & Magpie in Bewdley.
As Andrew Marston introduced him on stage: "It's like he never learned to play guitar. It's like he taught himself. It's like everyone else learned wrong!"
We'll also bring you a live track from Bewdley's Becky Hill at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

The BBC Hereford & Worcester stage at the Droitwich Festival

BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.
Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 22 June at The Copcut Elm as part of the Droitwich Spa Festival and features four acts who we've been playing on BBC Hereford & Worcester recently.
This is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.
None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.
Doors open at 1pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 5pm.
