Redditch Rocks

It's home to the likes of Led Zeppelin's John Bonham, Black Sabbath's Tony Martin and Nigel Clark from Dodgy, but Redditch has been singled out as the 'least musical' part of the country.
The town's come bottom of a survey looking at how many people are musically trained, and how many engage with music.

Upton Folk Festival

The planning's nearly over for our area's first festival of the season.
The Upton Folk Festival takes place at various venues across the town, including the parish church this year.
Danni Hunt caught up one of the festival organisers at our recording session at Ledbury's Market Theatre last weekend.

BBC Introducing in Ledbury

They've got one of the biggest stages in our area - plus a giant cinema-sized screen, making it the perfect place to showcase local musicians!
Ledbury's Market Theatre is run by a team of volunteers, and when we rolled up on Sunday 2 March for our second recording roadshow at this particular venue, Herefordshire's John Challis from Only Fools & Horses had been in the spotlight only the night before.
So throughout the whole of March and spilling into April, we're bringing you the bands and musicians that we recorded at the theatre, along with the massive gathering of festival organisers who turned up to talk about their summer events.
