He’s one of the biggest names in pop music and one of Stoke on Trent’s biggest exports. Hear from those who know him best, his friends and family.
All day we’ll be playing some of the best music from over 20 years in the business and some up and coming BBC Introducing acts from our area will be paying tribute to his work.
We will also be live from Burslem, the home of his beloved Port Vale, with Perry Spiller.
