Michael Buerk discovers hidden treasures underneath the floorboards

If you're moving house, or decorating, it's always exciting to think you might discover something surprising. Maybe treasure in the attic, or a pile of hidden photos under some floorboards.

What you might not expect to find is a sixteenth century portrait of Henry the Eighth under the plaster in your living room!

That is exactly what happened as part of a new TV series presented by journalist, Michael Buerk and historian Bettany Hughes.

Britain's Secret Homes starts tonight on ITV at 9pm.
