Andrew Marston introduces live music from The Delray Rockets (Worcester)

Set beneath the rolling beauty of the Prestbury Hills, major acts this year include Bill Bailey, Soul II Soul, Toploader, Kate Nash, The Human League and Craig Charles.

As always, BBC Hereford & Worcester had a stage at the event - and this year we took over the entire Friday in one of the tents.

Instead of having acts scattered across the whole weekend, every act on the opening day were chosen by us.

The Delray Rockets are a fuel injected rockabilly trio from Worcester who put the rock into rockabilly.

They describe themselves as 'high energy tempos and high energy performance to be witnessed live onstage'.

Well, we witnessed it live on stage - and you can do so on this week's show!

We go backstage at the Wychwood Festival and catch up with Toploader and Ranking Roger of The Beat who give some top advice for new musicians.

We'll have highlights from Wychwood, including sets by Worcester's Becky Rose, This Wicked Tongue, The Delray Rockets and Leominster's George Barnett.

We'll also hear the latest single from the Kidderminster singer/songwriter, Lauren Wright, her performed the new release in our Worcester studios recently after supporting One Direction at the LG Arena in Birmingham.

We'll also hear a couple of tracks from the Worcester band Peace who were on Later With Jools Holland last week - watch their performance here.

Plus last weekend in Derry-Londonderry - even if you've never tuned into BBC Radio 1 in your life - there was no getting away from the fact their Big Weekend was well and truly on - with trails right across TV Radio and online.

For us, the story of Kington's Ellie Goulding just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Right from the start we've been there - playing her first demos - and the station got her in before any of this happened to play a few songs live on the acoustic guitar - see her session here.

Fast forward to 2013 - she has a few more fans now than she did back then - and we'd go as far as saying she's Herefordshire & Worcestershire's greatest success story right now.
