She spread disease in New York a century ago and now Typhoid Mary's story is being retold
Known as Typhoid Mary, Mary Mallon became infamous for spreading the disease around New York City a century ago.
Her life ended tragically after spending nearly 25 years in exile. Her story is now the subject of a novel by American writer, Mary Beth Keane.
