September 1995 - DAB gets the green light

DAB was promoted heavily by the BBC, and as a result was taken up more rapidly in the UK than anywhere else in Europe. BBC Research and Development provided much of the technology and systems to make DAB happen. Interference free quality, and additional programme information are some of the benefits.
