How to calculate average speed
The presenter times how long it takes to skate along a 10m path. She does this three times, each time starting slightly higher up a ramp. Her average speed, which is the distance divided by the time taken, increases each time she starts at a higher point on the ramp. The speed increases from 2 meters per second to 5 meters per second.
