Tourette’s hero Jessica Thom on her condition

Jessica Thom talks to Woman's Hour about the rarity of having Tourette’s syndrome as a female. She also reflects on the liberation she feels of writing a blog and how that has led to connecting and sharing experiences with fellow sufferers. She has recently written Welcome to Biscuit Land – A Year in the Life of a Touretteshero, which she began by putting a couple of hours aside each night to write down her experiences over two and a half years ago, which has helped her put her experiences into perspective, and changes her view of everyday life as a Tourettes sufferer.
