On this week’s Eastern Air, Waheed Akhtar discusses the contribution of individuals to the development of local communities.

The programme focussed on the achievements of Dr Choudry Mohammed Walayat MBE who sadly passed away last Sunday.

It was a memorial and also a celebration of how communities in South Yorkshire, and indeed wider in the United Kingdom, have benefitted from his contributions over 50 years as a prominent community leader, councillor and member of the police authority.
