Keiron Tourish: North-west Reporter
Keiron started life as a "cub" reporter on the Derry Journal newspaper. He learnt his journalistic trade under a lot of the north-west's seasoned professionals.
He joined BBC Radio Foyle in 1990 and spent several years in a busy newsroom before becoming the region's television reporter for the BBC.
He has interviewed poets, presidents and prime ministers but nothing was as taxing as being chased by an ostrich - all in the line of duty.
Sport remains a passion and Keiron still likes to cover and play soccer.
