Surfing snails
Every day tides bring onto the beach the bodies of unfortunate animals and carry the scent of rotting flesh along the surf zone. Small snails have developed a very strong sense of smell and detect this carrion and, with a degree of ingenuity, they can use the water currents to take them to their feast.
