The Needles Lighthouse is feeling its age. The sea has been tearing at the rocks beneath the lighthouse for a century and a half, eroding its base. Now a plan is in place to try and save it.

A £500,000 project is now under way to make it safe for the future so they can keep the light burning for those at sea who depend on it.
