Composers: Sir Peter Maxwell Davies

Master of the Queen’s Music and renowned composer, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, looks back at a career spanning more than 50 years. He talks about studying composition at university and being told that he would never be good enough to make a career out of it and his controversial early work which prompted a mass walk out of the BBC Proms in the sixties. Max also describes how the quiet Orkney landscape (where he resides) affects his work today.
