World renowned land artist Charles Jencks is set to transform a former open cast coal mine into a recreational site.

Open cast mines are a bit of a blot on the landscape but what happens when all the coal has been removed, work is underway at one former mine to transform it into a stunning leisure space designed by landscape artist Charles Jencks.
