Rephotography - Burntisland Oil Works
Dougie Vipond is joined by landscape photographer Colin Prior for the launch of a major BBC Scotland project to capture images of man's impact on the Scottish landscape. In this edition Colin visits Burntisland and discovers a surprising change in the landscape.
The Burntisland Oil Works, at its peak in 1887, gave employment to almost a thousand men. It produced 15,000 gallons of crude oil a day. The Oil works were closed down by 1905, and the site is now covered by trees.
