Semi Final: 2004

The first ever semi-final broadcast live in the run up to the forty-ninth Eurovision Song Contest in Turkey. All countries, with the exception of the Big Four, the host, and the top ten on the scoreboard from the 2003 contest, had to compete for their place in the final.
